A secure, level television installation
A wall-mounted television should feel solid, sit at a comfortable height and keep cables under control. We provide professional TV wall mounting for Simon's Town homes, guest accommodation and small business spaces. The wall, screen size, bracket type and viewing position are checked before drilling begins.
Older cottages and modern hillside homes do not use the same wall construction. Plaster, brick, concrete and framed walls each need a suitable fixing method. We do not assume that a supplied bracket or anchor is right for the surface. If the television will be part of a new satellite setup, our DStv installation service can coordinate the viewing point and decoder connection.
Choosing the right position and bracket
We discuss seating height, glare, room layout and access to ports. A fixed bracket keeps the screen close to the wall. A tilting bracket can help with a higher position, while a full-motion bracket gives more viewing flexibility. The wall must still support the load and movement.
The technician checks the television's mounting pattern and bracket rating. We also allow enough space for HDMI plugs, power leads and ventilation. A rushed position can leave sockets blocked or force cables into sharp bends, so these details are planned before the screen is lifted.
Cable management that suits the room
Neat cabling makes a large difference to the finished result. Depending on the wall and agreed scope, cables can be placed in surface trunking or routed through an appropriate cavity. Power work must remain safe and compliant, and a new electrical outlet may require a qualified electrician.
We connect the agreed devices and test the picture input after mounting. If weak wireless coverage affects a smart television or streaming device, our WiFi and network setup can assess the connection rather than hiding the problem behind the screen.
Mounting for coastal Simon's Town properties
Rooms around Seaforth, Boulders and Froggy Pond often make the most of bright sea-facing views. That can also mean strong daylight and reflected glare. We consider the real daytime viewing angle, not only how the wall looks with the television switched off.
Salt air near open doors and exposed entertainment areas can affect metal fittings over time. Indoor mounting remains the normal choice. Any semi-exposed location needs careful discussion about moisture, ventilation, suitable equipment and the manufacturer's conditions.
TV mounting with DStv and multi-room viewing
A mounted screen may need a decoder shelf, HDMI route or connection to a second room. We plan where equipment will sit and how it remains accessible for resets or upgrades. The aim is a tidy installation that can still be maintained.
For separate channels in more than one room, our Extra View installation service covers compatible decoder linking and satellite cabling. Planning both services together can prevent visible rerouting after the television is already fixed to the wall.
What happens on installation day
Please confirm the television size, bracket type and wall location when booking. Clear the working area and have the remote, power lead and connected devices available. We inspect the surface, confirm the final height, mount the bracket, lift the television and test the agreed connections.
You receive an upfront quote before work begins. Our workmanship warranty applies to the installation work. Same-day availability may be possible when you call before 12pm, subject to the wall type, bracket availability and schedule.
